Frequently Asked Questions
How much space do I need around my dining table?

To ensure guests can move comfortably, we recommend leaving at least 90cm of clearance between the edge of the table and the walls or other furniture. This provides enough room for chairs to be pulled out and for people to walk behind seated guests.

A common mistake is choosing a rug that is too small. Your rug should extend at least 60cm beyond the table edge on all sides. This ensures that when guests pull their chairs out to sit down, the back legs stay on the rug rather than catching on the edge.

Our tables are finished with a multi-layered, moisture-resistant lacquer. For daily protection, we suggest using Dusk & Dawn linen runners or cork-backed coasters. For hot dishes straight from the oven, always use a trivet to prevent "heat blooming" (white cloudy marks) on the finish.

The secret to a curated, non-matching look is to keep one element consistent—either the material (e.g., all oak) or the silhouette (e.g., all mid-century modern). Alternatively, use matching side chairs and a different "statement" armchair at the two ends of the table for a classic look.
